JD Major Decorating services was founded in 1992 in Kingston by Jason Major. Jason had been working with other painting and decorating companies and decided to set up his own business, particularly because he wanted to be able to offer clients the best quality possible and a very high standard of service.
Fast forwards 25 years and we now have a full-time team and work across Kingston and London, and we’re still passionate about quality (read our client testimonials to see if we’ve succeeded). We’ve worked together for many years and as a result know each other very well. The business has a family feel – especially as Jason’s son can often be found helping out!
Since 1992 we have worked on a huge array of projects from the very small; painting a front door, to the very large; complete redecoration of Piccadilly Theatre!

The majority of our work is in residential homes completing whole house redecoration’s and renovations. We are particularly specialist in wallpaper hangings.
We have a raft of qualifications between us; we are all qualified painters and decorators, NVQ or apprenticeship trained with Health and Safety certification courses held in Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness and Working at Heights. We have three FAA Level 2 awards in Emergency First Aid at Work, and all Construction Skills Certification scheme holders are HS&E tested.
